Projects

We currently have several house renovation projects underway in South West France (Tarn, Aveyron, Tarn & Garonne). In some cases the house is already habitable and requires alterations or extensions, in others we have started with a derelict ruin.

We also have an exciting long-running project to restore a 13th century chapel & 16th century monastery in the Pyrénées Orientales. This has involved organising an archaeological study and presenting a detailed dossier to the Architectes des Bâtiments de France, justifying our design decisions and choice of materials (see left).

In all projects the personal wishes of the client are obviously paramount and by discussing with them how they envisage using the house, we try and create a sustainable environment which will minimise energy costs while incorporating the  existing natural materials into the new design.

When you become our client we give you a copy of our detailed 'Project Guide for Clients' which sets out how the whole planning and building process works in France and how you and we can best work together to minimise delays and to achieve exactly the finished house you are looking for.

Throughout the project we send you regular "Minutes" of site meetings as well as photos of progress. This way even clients who live outside France, (and we have some as far away as the Middle East and Australia), can keep in close touch with developments and be fully involved in the decision-making.
