Our ideology

  • Sustainable development
  • Ecological design
  • Low impact environmental design and technology
  • The use of sustainable and ecological materials

We believe good design should take the user into account on many levels, from the purely practical and economic to the social and psychological. Our designs aim  to create buildings which are in harmony with human beings, which are environmentally safe and efficient to use as well as beautiful to be in and to look at.

You, our client
We develop our designs in close liaison with our clients, working with them to hone their requirements and define their aims. We then evolve the building design within this framework through continual dialogue with you, our clients.

Costs
The level of our professional fees depend on the nature of the project undertaken. We are able to make a quotation on a particular project once we know what is entailed. In order to engage our services a contract is signed in order to give both parties protection. In the majority of our architectural work, we base our fee structure on the RIBA 'plan of work' which subdivides a building project into its different stages. In this way all, or any, part of the procurement of a building can be undertaken within certain fee guidelines.

Refurbishment and Restoration
We undertake the refurbishment and restoration of both recent and historical buildings. Most of this work is currently in France where Sean Rawnsley (Architect) is based.
Should you be buying a property in France to restore or renovate, or if you thinking of building a new house and require professional help and advice, please get in touch with Sean Rawnsley through our Contacts page.
